Opening ceremony of the Week of Culture, Sports and Tourism welcomes Vietnamese Culture Day and Ok Om Bok Festival in 2026

The event hosts a variety of activities such as opening ceremonies and art shows; the Ok Om Bok Festival Night with a lunar ceremony, the release of posters and water lights; the Ngo ghe race; the Khmer musical instrument festival; the Khmer folk costume show; the South Knesset Singing Festival; the physical cultural heritage show and folk performances; the South Knesset cuisine space, cultural exhibitions, tourism, OCOP products and distinctive products of the Khmer people. In addition, the program also features sports activities, folk games, water puppet performances, smart library experiences, and introductions to traditional crafts.

Through a chain of activities, Vịnh Long Province aims to preserve and promote the cultural identity of the peoples, especially the national intangible cultural heritage Ok Om Bok Festival of the Khmer people; enhance cultural exchange, link tourism development, promote trade and potential, and introduce local tourism products. The event simultaneously creates a space for fun, cultural experiences and community connections for residents and visitors inside and outside the province.
