The Festival of the Diamond - The Color of the Diamond

The first edition of the Mường Khương-Sắc colored border festival will take place on 7 and 8 November 2026 in Mường Khương commune, Lao Cai province. The event commemorates 76 years of Manganj Liberation Day, bringing a multi-colored cultural space with parades, art performances, folk games and agricultural experiences. It is an opportunity for tourists to discover the identities of the Mongolian, Pa Dí, Dao, Nùng, Bố Y peoples; perform traditional arts such as sling sticks, Mông khèn, cello dances and folk dances; folk games such as pao, throwing bananas; enjoy local OCOP cuisine and products, while also visiting tea gardens, bananas, cotton.
