President Ho Chi Minh's speech to Cuba

On the occasion of the 66th anniversary of Vietnam-Cuba diplomatic relations (2/12/1960-2/12/2026), the Ho Chi Minh Presidential Monument in the Presidential Palace in coordination with the Cuban Embassy in Vietnam continues to display the title of Ho Chi Minh's Presidency to Cuba.

Through letters, greetings, thank-you letters and meetings with fellow leaders, diplomats, journalists, filmmakers and Cuban delegations to visit Vietnam, He not only expressed deep sympathy for the Cuban people but also affirmed the unity between the two peoples in the struggle for national independence, peace and social progress. That sentiment was built on concrete actions and meaningful memories such as: the round table presented by General Commander Fidel Castro to President Ho Chi Minh in 1964; the Grama boat statue presented to him by President Osvaldo Dorticós Torrado in 1967; the bronze plated suit presented by Cuban journalist Marta Rojas in 1969; or the Cuban Journal with the title of Hero of the Vietnamese people... All are held in honor of President Ho Chi Minh and placed at his residence and work in the Presidential Palace. These rare artifacts are a testament to the bond between President Ho Chi Minh and the Party, the State and the Cuban people.

The materials and exhibits contribute to the clarification of the special affection that President Ho Chi Minh has for the country of Cuba, while affirming the strong historical foundation of the friendly, united relations between Vietnam and Cuba. It is also an occasion to honour the high values of international solidarity, to continue to build and promote the traditional friendship between the two peoples in the new era.
