The Ngo wrestling competition in An Giang province

The race was held as part of the 18th Khmer People's Culture, Sports and Tourism Day in An Giang province in 2026.

Doing ghe Ngo is one of the traditional sporting activities, embodying the cultural identity of the South Khmer people, expressing the spirit of unity, collective strength, determination and the beauty of community cultural life.

Within the framework of the XVIIIth Anjiang Provincial Khmer Culture, Sports and Tourism Day in 2026, the race was held from November 23 to November 24, 2026 (on the 15th and 16th of October), at the Yangtze River waterfront stadium, Gò Quao, Anjiang Province.

With the lively rivalry of the Ngo ghe teams and the enthusiastic cheering of the people and tourists, the event contributed to a festive atmosphere, enhanced exchange, connected communities of ethnicities, while preserving and promoting traditional cultural values of the Khmer people. The program contributed to spreading the image of the festival and promoting the cultural beauty of the An Giang people to a large audience.
